Graham County

The Saturday, April 26, Community Forum in Graham County attracted a small-but-engaged core group who watched the “Seeking Balance in the Mountains” video and chatted about planning a future for the county in harmony with its rural past and in keeping with its powerful natural assets.

Could Graham County be a destination for eco-travelers?

Here are some thoughts from attendees:

The smallest (population 7,995, according to U.S. Census Bureau 2006 estimates) and most remote of the seven counties in the region, Graham County also enjoys some of the most spectacular landscapes in the eastern United States. Lake Fontana is among the region’s top attractions.
